Tip 1 – How to access Excel menu options?
Right-click on any cell. Type the menu option in the box at the top of options <Search the menu>. This option is available with Excel 365.
Tip 2 – How to upload multi codes from an Excel file to Accmatrix?
Log on to Accmatrix (this connects to the database). Click on the menu option <File>, Select <Open> click on the file “Acupload.xlsm”. Copy and paste codes to the required sheet. Click on <Upload !>.
Tip 3 – How to check if all the General Ledger Control Accounts balance?
Select <General Ledger> <Trial Balance Report> and type the period number. Click <Control Totals>
Tip 4 – How to print a zero “0” customer statement?
Select <Customers> <Monthly Statements> Untick the option on the bottom of the form Exclude zero balances.
Tip 5 – Shortcut when creating a new users
Select <Users>. Click on an existing user with the required security for the new user. Change the Name, Password, and Initials for the new user. Click <Save>.
Tip 5 – How to find the error if the trial balance doesn’t balance?
Select <General Ledger> <Trial Balance Report> and type the period number. Click <Control Totals> Click <GL Balance Check>. Filter on the field SRC to find the balancing error.
Tip 6 – How to upload transactions from an Excel sheet to the Accmatrix Data Entry screen.
Open Accmatrix. Got the required Data Entry form. Open the Excel sheet with the input transactions. Highlight the transactions and select copy. Click <Options> <Switch Window>, select the required file, and paste the transactions to the top left cell of the input form.

Trap 1 – Can’t have a minus “-” in a code on the code lists
You can’t type the minus “-” character when creating a new code on the code lists.
Trap 2 – No blank row in the Data Entry input screen
The Date entry column must always have a valid date. The program stops as soon as it there is an empty date field and doesn’t post the remaining transactions.
Trap 3 – No Date in Invoice and GRV forms
The date field must always have a valid date.
